Electrical work is often a small part of a larger room transformation, but it can have a big impact on how the finished space works. I undertake electrical alterations and installations around kitchens, media walls, renovations and other home improvements.

What I can help with

  • Electrical alterations for kitchen refurbishments.
  • Supplies and connections for appliances.
  • Media wall sockets, TV supplies and feature lighting.
  • New lighting and switching arrangements.
  • Additional sockets and data-related power provision where required.
  • First-fix and second-fix electrical work as part of wider renovations.

Good planning matters on these jobs. I consider cabinet positions, appliances, media equipment, lighting and finished surfaces so that the electrical installation supports the design rather than becoming an afterthought.

It helps to involve the electrician early.
Knowing the intended layout before walls and units are finished can avoid awkward compromises later.

Common questions

Can you work alongside my kitchen fitter or builder?

Yes. I am used to coordinating electrical work around other trades and can discuss the intended sequence of the work before starting.

Can you move sockets/switches when the kitchen layout changes?

Yes. I can assess the existing points and provide new positions to suit the revised layout, subject to the condition and capacity of the relevant circuits.

Can you install media wall lighting and sockets?

Yes. I can install power and lighting around media walls, with attention to cable routes and the finished appearance.

Should electrical work be done before the units go in?

Wherever practical, yes. First-fix and cable-routing decisions are much easier when the final layout is known and access is still available.
